The Frozen Dessert Party is the Best Part of your Disney Epcot Itinerary
So I will admit right now that I was bitten by the Frozen obsession bug. I didn’t see the wintry Scandinavian inspired film until a year after its theatrical release and honestly at the beginning didn’t have any clue what the fuss was all about. Olaf who!? But after I watched the film that brought one of Disney’s most popular and groundbreaking soundtracks to life, I jumped on the chilly bandwagon and started singing “Let it Go” in the shower. When devising my Epcot itinerary the last few times we visited Walt Disney World, I always ensured I spent some quality time in the Norway area. But the last time, I added even more magic to my time here. I added the awesome and exclusive Frozen Dessert Party to my already pixie-dusted Epcot itinerary.
Frozen Dessert Party Considerations for your Epcot Itinerary
We all know that trips to Disney World include more than the logistical accommodations, admission tickets, flights, and food. Way more. When budgeting, I need to write on one side of my Disney vacation planner document the MUSTS vs. the Nice-to-haves based on my budget. And the not so surprisingly, Frozen dessert party fell under the MUSTS for my Epcot itinerary. (Are you really that surprised? I’m married to the sweetest of sweet tooths around! Plus, when you’re celebrating a birthday, diets and willpower go out the window…)

The best part of the evening…and to think I had already enjoyed some delicious treats at the Norway Bakery – my FAVE in the entire complex…yep, birthdays come with all the sugar and sweetness you can possibly devour… Yet, I was still able to find room for these tantalizing goodies. Here is a sample of the desserts and treats you may enjoy should you decide to book the Frozen Dessert Party on your Epcot itinerary (the options could change or vary depending on supplies and seasons).
These little delights pleased me so much. As I am a cupcake addict, I was so happy to enjoy these vanilla flavoured beauties. They are baked in blue batter and seriously made me feel as if I was eating blue ice with a snowflake on top.

Hans Key Lime Tarts with Orange Glitter Glaze
Now, I’m not the biggest fan of Hans that weasel, however, he does offer some pretty tasty tarts. These tangy key lime bites are a nice change from the sugary sweet confection that is usually offered. The glitter? Well, you cannot go wrong with glitter at Disney World can you?
Kristoff’s Kransekake Almond Cookie
So I do enjoy cookies, but this one to me was a little bland lacking flavour. Poor Kristoff didn’t get the best dessert representing him in my humble opinion; however, dunked in hot chocolate or coffee, these guys are a little more appetizing.
Kristoff’s No-Sugar Lemon Curd with Blueberry
I love that the Frozen Dessert Party caters to special diet requirements. It must really suck if you get to a party and are unable to enjoy much of the culinary spread. Walt Disney World takes the special needs of guests seriously and does its best to accommodate. These sugar-free lemon curd pots are just the ticket for those who cannot have sweeteners of any kind. They are satisfying and taste lovely. The addition of the blueberries give them that little extra flavour to offset the lemon tang. Kristoff won on the dessert namesakes with this one!
Troll Rock Crispy Bon Bons
These are seriously some of the fanciest Rice Kirspie treats I have eaten! Sweetened with icing on top, these little troll-ish delights are the perfect addition to your plate of calorific indulgences.
Sven’s Fresh Fruit and Berries
So even our favourite caribou has representation here at the Frozen Dessert Party! Enjoy some healthy and sweet fresh fruit and berries along with all the sugary delights on the buffet table. I particularly loved the melon and enjoyed quite a bit of it! Watermelon is my absolute favourite fruit. Although they didn’t have any here, I still love it the most and enjoyed the other options instead like cantaloupe. What is yours?
Duke of Wesleton’s Cheese Fondue
Even “Weasleton” has representation at the Frozen Dessert Party, but in a savoury way. Some guests may wish to complement their sweets with a touch of savoury. Walt Disney World of course has made it easy for this craving with a cheese fondue option served with veggies, and flatbread. The cheese fondue seriously made me think of Switzerland when I enjoyed it!
Anna’s Warm Cottage Pudding with Salted Caramel Glaze
This delight so reminded me of sticky toffee pudding I enjoyed while living in Cambridgeshire. It was a moist and delightfully flavourful masterpiece served with none other than caramel sauce. It is a very rich dessert and you should really only have a small portion. However, you are on holiday and deserve a treat once in awhile don’t you? I was a good girl and had only a couple of spoonfuls, but believe me the temptation was there. This dessert was indeed one of my favourites on the buffet smorgasbord.
Olaf’s Warm Double Chocolate S’mores Pudding Cake
Saving the best to last. Now, I know I just admitted to enjoying a hearty helping of cottage pudding and cupcakes, but honestly, growing up in Canada around the campfire had me eating many a s’more over the years. There is something about marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers served warm that is the most satisfying of treats, especially in the summertime. On top of that, adding the charcoal taste from the campfire makes it all the more incredible. With this history of enjoyment, you can only imagine how tickled pink I was to see a s’mores pudding cake served at the Frozen Dessert Party and named after my favourite little snowman Olaf. It was the absolute affirmation that my decision to pay extra and add the Frozen Dessert Party to my Epcot Itinerary was one of the best on the trip. This sweet and satisfying pudding was the ultimate in decadence. I know it was uber naughty with every bite, but I thought What the heck, it’s my birthday, I had walked over 12,000 steps, AND I love everything to do with Olaf, including desserts named after him. Enjoy this pudding no matter how large the helping you feel you can handle. I am seriously not judging.
At the Frozen Dessert Party you are treated to some great drinks to wash down all the sweet and savoury treats. There is a blue Frozen punch offered in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic variations, coffee, a variety of teas, and hot cocoa. As it was a chillier day when we attended the party, I opted for warm beverage to get us cozier to head outside for the fireworks, but my husband still braved the ice-cold Frozen inspired blue punch. The feedback I received on the punch was that it was quite sweet and reminded some guests of the blueberry slush at 7 Eleven convenience stores.
Frozen Ever After
One of the awesome inclusions that makes the Frozen Dessert Party even more appealing in your Epcot itinerary is the fact that you get an exclusive ride on the Frozen Ever After attraction! One of the most difficult fast passes to nab in the entire Walt Disney World complex alongside the Toy Story Land and Avatar rides, Frozen Ever After boasts some of the most incredible and intricate animatronics ever created. The boat ride is a sublime retelling of the classic film, includes the musical numbers, and a teensy tiny splash. Don’t forget to smile as there is a souvenir photo taken during your experience!
Enjoy VIP watching of the incredible Illuminations (soon changing) fireworks production. The cast members hosting the party will escort you to the exclusive area where you will enjoy the spectacular show with incredible views. This is also a catalyst in making the Frozen Dessert Party worthwhile as the fireworks are truly incredible at the Disney parks and unlike any other in the world.
The dessert parties are an extra expense and for some, a hefty one. However, if you are going to enjoy one additional experience while at Epcot and you have the room for some sweet treats in your diet, than I cannot recommend the Frozen Dessert Party more. I have enjoyed a few of these dessert parties, but this one is one of my favourites thanks to the addition of the exclusive ride experience. This alone got me to book it, prior to knowing the buffet menu and Olaf’s pot of s’mores goodness. I hope that this review and the avoidance of Fast Pass stress has you considering this experience for your thorough Epcot itinerary. It really is a myth that Epcot is meant solely for adults. Events and experiences as these bring out the child in all of us – I mean, how many times were you caught with your hand in the cookie jar? Now there’s no worrying! Stuff your face with some of the most amazing sweets ever baked.
