This is Why You Need to take A Chapel Down Winery Tour in Kent UK
There’s something about spring in the UK that makes my heart happy. Living in the English countryside, seeing the roses bloom, the fields blossom, and hear the birds chirp, makes me crave picnics, hikes, and the odd relaxing stint of bird watching. But don’t you think these springtime musings would be sweeter with a taste of wine? Well, Laura of the wonderful blog the Travelling Stomach agreed and wanted to share the details of the Chapel Down Winery Tour in the Kent countryside.
All About the Chapel Down Winery Tour
English sparkling wine is now becoming commonplace on the shelves of the UK’s supermarkets competing with prosecco and champagne to be the best bottle of fizz. Chapel Down is one of the most well-known producers of English sparkling wine with their glasses of bubbly being served at various restaurants and some big ticket Summer events in London . You can take a day trip out of London to visit and take a Chapel Down winery tour in the beautiful Kent countryside, just outside of Tenterden.
Spend the day at the winery taking one a two-hour guided Chapel Down Winery tour and enjoying a delicious lunch at The Swan, paired with Chapel Down wines of course. The Chapel Down Winery tour takes place around the vineyards where you can see the grapes growing and you’ll get to venture into the winery to see the action taking place. You’ll learn all about how English sparkling wine is made and the similarities with champagne.
At the end of your tour there is of course a tasting of the range of Chapel Down wines including their delicious sparkling wines, their famous Bacchus (a white wine similar to Sauvignon Blanc) and their Union red. You can of course purchase any of the wines, plus their new range of beers and spirits to take home with you.
